The Next Hot Thing?

I get a ton of emails from China offering new and sometimes really neat items. Then sometimes, I get emails that are just downright silly. I opened my email the other day to a subject that said "The Next Hot President Jewelry". Hmm...they couldnt be serious could they? They were. Obama jewelry. Well that set me off in giggles. Who would wear such things? The had bracelets, key chains, cell phone jewelry, earrings (shown here) and anything they could attach the heart charm with. Even if you LOVED Obama, would you wear this stuff? Leave me a comment below (it can be anonymous) or send me an email to blog@eebeads.com

  2. Nah. I'm not one to wear things emblazoned with a person's likeness, regardless of how much I like them I think it's a little tacky and little kiddish (think hanna montana jewelry)

  3. Definitely would on the right occasions...living in a super-RED state. It will be fun to be a little in your face to the folks who SOOO flaunted it for SOOO many years. There is an artist in the area who sculpted Obama's head for a focal PC bead (that's polymer clay) and couldn't keep them in stock during the fall.

When would I wear this jewelry, on President's Day, Inaugural Day, local Dem meetings, pollworker training (hee, hee), just for fun on other days when the mood strikes.

  5. I would definitely get these for my sister, who lives in New Hampshire and housed Obama campaigners throughout the primaries. Also for my niece who lives in the Czech Republic and likes to flaunt anything kitchy and American.

  6. No, thank you for asking. Wouldn't even wear my girlfriend in an ear because that's not the kind of ornamentation I care for.
